On Sunday 27th June 2010 Wigan sent a team to compete in the St Helens 125yr anniversary invitational Gala. Although missing a few swimmers due to England playing Germany in the world cup at the same time, the club was able to win the gala. With Local Rivals St Helens, Ashton Central and Newton Le Willows also competing the Wigan swimmers rose to the challenge and comfortably won. All the club swimmers received medals and club Captains Sarah Pollard and Dominic Suggitt received the trophy from St Helens Club Chairman Shaun Woodward. Well done to all swimmers who competed
