On Sunday 4th July 2010 Wigan sent a team to compete in the first semi final of the B & D Mini League. Facing tough competition from Horwich, Ashton Central, Newton Le Willows and Warrington, Wigan swimmers had to be at their best. With the event nearing its conclusion our team was neck and neck with Horwich, but the Wigan swimmers pulled out all the stops to pull away and win this gala and qualify for the final in Sept. Hopefully with a full team this is a competition Wigan can win showing that Wigan is emerging as a strong force within swimming in the North West
